Dow announced a series of leadership changes this week, including a new leader for its packaging and specialty plastics business unit.
Keith Cleason immediately takes over as president of packaging and specialty plastics, following former president Karen Carter’s promotion to chief operating officer.
Cleason joined Dow in 2001 and most recently served as president for olefins, aromatics and alternatives and Univation Technologies, which is the company’s wholly owned subsidiary “for licensing and catalysts.” Previously, he held positions at Dow including senior global asset director for polyethylene and global strategic development director for packaging and specialty plastics.
“Keith's strategic mindset and his proven leadership make him ideal for this transformative phase of P&SP. His vision and expertise will be crucial in driving our sustainability goals while maintaining our competitive advantage,” Carter said in a news release.
The company reports that its P&SP segment has more than $23 billion in annual sales. On Monday, Dow announced that it completed the sale of its flexible packaging laminating adhesives business to Arkema for $150 million.
