Name: David Duncan
Previous title: Executive vice president of consumer products at Georgia-Pacific
New title: President and CEO at Georgia-Pacific
David Duncan is Georgia-Pacific’s new president and CEO, effective immediately.
He replaces Mark Luetters, who temporarily took over the roles last year upon Christian Fischer’s retirement. Luetters currently serves as executive vice president of Koch.
Duncan had been executive vice president of the company’s consumer products group since 2019. Prior to that, he had been executive vice president of the building products division since joining Georgia-Pacific in 2018.
Before joining G-P, Duncan was president of performance solutions at materials manufacturer Invista, which like G-P is a Koch company. He has more than 28 years of experience at Koch companies, including as CFO at Koch Minerals.
“I'm honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead an organization full of talented and dedicated people who work together across Georgia-Pacific to deliver results every day,” Duncan said in a statement.
Vivek Joshi will replace Duncan as executive vice president of consumer products. He currently is president of G-P’s consumer tissue, towel and napkins business. Joshi joined the company in 2002 as a marketing manager for the Dixie Foodservice food wrap business and has held various leadership roles in the consumer business.
