EAST LANSING, Mich. — The International Safe Transit Association (ISTA), the leading industry developer of pre-shipment performance testing standards for packaged products, today announced programming for the annual ISTA Forum, including TempPack and TransPack events, which will be held April 22 – 24, 2024 at the Marriot Marquis San Diego Marina in San Diego, California.
The ISTA Forum is the global transport packaging industry’s signature event, bringing together the packaging community, researchers and business experts to tackle today’s challenges, explore industry best practices and discuss the latest trends.
This year’s programming lineup includes several pre-forum training sessions on Monday, April 22: ISTA Packaging Dynamics Professional Certification (ISTA PDP), Introduction to BioPharma Cold Chain, and User Requirement Specification (URS) to Operational Qualification (OQ). The ISTA Educational Foundation will also hold a fundraising event Monday evening at Mike Hess Brewing in Seaport Village. More information is available via the ISTA Forum website.
The ISTA Forum officially kicks off on Monday, April 22 with a welcome reception in the evening. Programming begins Tuesday, April 23 with separate tracks for TransPack, focused on research and solutions surrounding the optimization of packaging for transport, and TempPack, focused on technical topics and insights related to global temperature-controlled performance packaging.
Sessions for TransPack will highlight sustainable packaging development, e-commerce packaging challenges, packaging performance testing applications, packaging optimization and damage reduction success stories, and more. TempPack sessions will delve into innovative cold chain packaging solutions, temperature monitoring strategies, sustainability case studies, design qualification guidance, emerging technologies and more. Both tracks will include breakout discussions for more in-depth conversations on sustainability, the impact of artificial intelligence on packaging, risk assessment, and more.
The event will be held in person with several networking opportunities, including general sessions, a welcome reception, sponsor exhibition reception and closing celebration dinner. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
