HiFlow Solutions Releases Free Imposition App for Packaging and Commercial Print Applications
Users Gain Access to an Efficient and User-Friendly Imposition Solution that Accelerates the Estimating Workflow
[Miami FL, April 2024] – HiFlow Solutions, a leading global provider of end-to-end management software solutions for folding carton, label converters, flexible packaging, and corrugated producers, proudly announces the launch of a free Microsoft Windows application designed for imposing labels, packaging, and commercial print jobs. The application is available in Microsoft Store or on the website https://hiflowsolutions.com/free-imposition-application/.
"When a packaging company receives a request for a quote, responding promptly is crucial, as the first responder often secures the job," says Romek Kowalczyk, Product Manager at HiFlow, who spearheaded the development of this application. "Our free imposition application replaces cumbersome manual estimating processes, ensuring swift delivery of quotes to customers."
Jack Lafler, VP of Sales & Technology, explains that in many instances, a request for a quote is received by sales or customer service, which then necessitates forwarding to the CAD department. Here, either another tool, or a manual process, is employed to draw and impose designs, which are then sent back to estimating. "This process can be time-consuming, ranging from hours to a day, particularly when the CAD department is busy. By utilizing our free imposition app, this entire process can be completed in under 3 minutes, without involving other departments.”
The HiFlow Solutions app, HiFlowIMP includes a comprehensive catalog of layouts for folding cartons, labels, corrugated, and common commercial printing applications. "These structure descriptions are familiar to most users, and with over 210 FEFCO and ECMA templates available in the app," Kowalczyk adds, "estimators can quickly select the item from the catalog that matches the customer's request, view the design, and obtain the flat layout of the requested item. Additionally, estimators can upload client designs or create custom designs in SMART BOX.
“This is always the first step in creating an estimate. Then they select Impose, and the design is automatically imposed on the right sheet size with the most efficient use of the substrate. This eliminates the need to involve the CAD department and immediately provides the estimator with the information needed to generate the estimate, including size and number of sheets required.”
Mariusz Sosnowski CEO of the company comments "We leveraged our 24 years of experience in addressing challenges faced by packaging manufacturers, by offering two complimentary modules from our extensive suite of over 70, we developed in HiFlow’s ERP/MIS. The free application, HiFlow IMP, enables estimators to accelerate the estimation process from hours to under 3 minutes, fostering a sense of preparedness and eagerness to engage with potential customers.”
“Process automation is our specialty,” he adds.
Sosnowski continues, "Our developers have been crafting solutions for manufacturing challenges for over two decades. This app represents just a fraction of what we offer to the industry, streamlining processes across organizations, including prepress and estimating, scheduling, warehouse, and production management, thereby enabling packaging companies to identify bottlenecks and maximize equipment utilization."
